Make Money with a Blog

I bought the “Your Underground Hardcore Traffic Generating Tactics” Report the other day for $19.00. Then I was upsold on a product called “Auto Blog Income” for another $27.00. Both were being marketed by Mark Flavin. It was the auto blog software that got me interested. I could not resist taking a look because there was a video included that showed you step by step how to create an auto blog site.

What is an Auto Blog site?

It is a Blog created in WordPress that includes Adsense and RSS Content feeds.  There is also a Blog Plug-In included called aLinks. This plug-in allows you to enter your Clickbank and Amazon IDs and create keywords attached to these IDs. Then the aLinks Plug-in will locate and highlight all the keywords that appear in each article. It will also provide links to your affiliates sales pages for Clickbank and Amazon, should a visitor click on the highlighted words. 

So what are the Benefits?

There are several benefits worth noting:

• You get a Blog which is immediately filled with relevant content based on your Blog from the RSS feeder.
• You get the ability to link keywords in the RSS articles content to a product you may be marketing through Clickbank or Amazon.
• Google Adsense adverts relevant to your Blog content are placed on the Blog giving you the chance to earn income.
• Since the content is updated regularly with new article via the RSS feed the Search engines will keep coming back to your site to index it.
• There are various Blog Theme Colurs you can chose for a bit of variety too.
• All for $27.00 - If nothing else you will learn a lot about creating blogs with the potential to make money.

Does it really work?

It’s early days yet. It took me about two hours to do the first blog. Take a look at the site Blogomatic. It has been created in a sub-domain for now. I created it as an exercise to learn about creating Blogs. I really need to think about the keywords and do some more work on it. But it worked as they said it would and it was easy to create the blog.

The vidoe does mention you should still market the site with stuff I still have to get to grips with - tagging and pinging. But the site is up and running and Iwill work on it over the coming days.

Also to make any real money I probably need to build at least a couple of hundred sites like this in well-selected niche markets using well chosen keywords and good original PLR or my own articles..

What did they miss off the video?

The one thing I found was missing was the Google ID for your Adsense account. The php files were blank where the ID should go. SInce this was all new to me I didn;t click until a couple of days later. But since I was still waiting for my Google ID it was not a problem. As soon as I got the ID I went into the Theme Editor and added it to each of the Adsense php files. So don’t forget to do this or you won’t get any Adsense money when your visitors click on a Google Adsense ad.

Update to this content 

I didn’t realise that even though I had Google Adsense running on this site and the Blogomatic site, Google needed a Google Site Map and a verification that both sites were mine. I had to use Google WebMaster Tools to do this. I also had to add a Google SiteMap Plug-in to both sites. I took the option of adding a Google HTML file to my site and getting Google to verify it was there. This was much easier than trying to work out where to put some code in the Header of the Home Page. Anyway it worked and both sites are verified with Google WebMaster Tools Dashboard. Next I’ll look to reading Liz Tomey’s Adsense Domination Secrets to see if I can make Google Adsense pay.
